Kenneth T. Guenther, age 81, of Albion, IN passed away Thursday, October 4, 2013 at Northridge Village in Albion, IN. He was born on July 7, 1932 to Jacob O. & Pauline M. (Carver) Guenther in Fort Wayne, IN. On December 23, 1967 he married Shirley A. (Hickman) Mundon in Albion, IN. He worked and retired from P.I.C.-Phillips Industries in Albion where he worked in maintenance. He enjoyed fishing and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and Notre Dame football. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Guenther of Albion; three sons, Curt Mundon of Kendallville, Russ (Anne) Mundon of Ligonier, and Scott Mundon of Kendallville; two daughters, Vickie Merrill of Kendallville, and Jodie (Warren) Patrick of Ligonier; fifteen grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren; a son-in-law, Rex Asher of Battle Creek, MI; and a sister, Linda (Gale) Herendeen of Wolf Lake, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Tracy Asher; two brothers, Raymond & Edward Guenther; and several sisters, including Maxine Hendricks. A funeral service will be held in Mr. Guenther’s honor on Monday, October 7, 2013 at 7PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Doug Keenan officiating. Burial will take place at a later date. A visitation will be held on Monday, October 7, 2013 from 3-7 PM at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to Berean Baptist Church, 110 Highland Park Drive, Albion, IN 46701 or the American Cancer Society, 111 East Ludwig Road Suite 105, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
