Russell H Patton

Russell H. Patton, age 98, of Ligonier, IN passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at 3:20 PM at Parkview Noble Hospital, Kendallville, Indiana. He was born on December 15, 1914 to James and Viola (Holden) Patton. On December 13, 1940 he married Lillian Fowler, who preceded him in death in 1997. He had worked as an inspector for Johnson Controls, Goshen, IN where he had perfect attendance. He had a love for fishing and woodworking. He also enjoyed home repairs and yard work. Surviving are one son, Joseph (Stella) Patton, Ligonier; three daughters, Norma (Homer) Reeve, Ligonier, Gloria (Richard) Fought, Ligonier, Caroline (Robert) Hart, Fort Wayne; twenty-four grandchildren and several great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren, and one sister-in-law, Barbara Dispennett. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, two sisters, Elizabeth Juday and Catherine Reed, and five brothers: Sam, Sr., Edward, James, Richard and Robert Patton. A funeral service will be held in Mr. Patton’s honor on Monday, July 1, 2013 at 3 PM at Yeager Funeral Home with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN. There will be a time of visitation on Monday, July 1, 2013 from 1-3 PM prior to the service at the funeral home.
