Maria Guadalupe Fernandez

Maria Guadalupe Fernandez, 59, passed away on April 19, 2013 at Hospice House in South Bend, IN. She was born on August 25, 1953 to Juan Corona Aguilar & Felicitas Martinez de Corona in Tampico, Mexico. She married Sergio Fernandez on August 24, 1978. He preceded her in death in 1987.

She is survived by 6 children: Maria Mora of Elkhart, IN, Celeste (Christian) Fernandez of Elkhart, IN, Ed (Julie) Mora of Granger, IN, Mario A. (Susan) Mora of Ligonier, IN, Sergio (Virginia) Fernandez of South Bend, IN and Constance (Christian) Lopez of South Bend, IN. Surviving are 16 Grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. 2 sisters, Ma. De Lourdes Corona Martinez and Reynalda Corona Mar, and a brother, Hector Inocencio Corona Martinez, also survive. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sergio Fernandez, and her parents.

She retired fromVeda Industries in New Paris, IN in 1998. She attended Our Lady of Hungary Catholic Church in South Bend, IN.

A funeral service in her honor will be at 11A.M. on Monday April 22, 2013 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN. Pastor Jeff Farnham will officiate. Burial will be in Violett Cemetery in Goshen,IN.

Calling hours will be 2-9 P.M. Sunday April 21, 2013 at the funeral home.
