Lillian A. Hosford, 94, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, April 12, 2013 at 3:50 AM at North Ridge Villiage in Albion. She was born on July 11, 1918 to Howard and Jeannette (Chaffee) Gard in rural Noble County. On March 6, 1937 Lillian married Charles T. Hosford, Sr.; he preceded her in death on April 30, 1996. Lillian graduated from Wawaka High School in 1935. She was employed by Wirk Garment in Ligonier before she married. She was a homemaker and a farm wife. She and her husband farmed for many years near Wawaka. They enjoyed many winters in Big Pine Key,FL. Lillian was a good cook and was an active member of Wawaka United Methodist Church. She especially enjoyed belonging to her mother’s orchestra while she was a teen. Lillian greatly enjoyed music, especially the Gaithers. Lillian is survived by two sons, Charles (Regina Williams) Hosford Jr of Albion and Jack (Joan) Hosford of Wawaka; seven grandchildren, Roger (Sophia) Hosford, Charles Clinton Hosford of Grand Forks, ND, Rena (Dana) Weishaupt of Fallon, NV, James (Nancy) Hosford of Wawaka, Joel (Anita) Hosford of Albion, Jason (Susan) Hosford of Albion and Rob (Heather) Rawles of Albion; 15 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; and two brothers, Delbert and Robert Gard. A funeral service in her honor will be at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 on Wednesday April 17, 2013at 11 A.M.. Pastor Jim Robbins will officiate. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday from 3-7 P.M. at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice or North Ridge Village.
