Eleanor Steller

Eleanor Steller, 91, of Cromwell passed away on Sunday, March 24, 2013. She was born on November 6, 1921 in Ligonier, IN to Louis E. and Audrey (Burkhart) Sisterhen. She was a long time member of the Indian Village United Methodist Church and the Women’s Society. Eleanor was also a member of the Washington Juniors Extension Homemaker’s Club since 1956; she has had many exhibits at the county fair, won many awards for her baking skills, and assisted with the judging in Floral Hall. Eleanor was a wonderful role model for the youth community, serving as a 4-H leader in Washington Township for many years. She was an active member of Farm Bureau and the Cromwell Business Association. She operated Correll Insurance Agency for many years. Eleanor also served as township fair board chairperson, republican precinct person and spent 8 years on the Noble County Library Board of Trustees. Eleanor is survived by three sons, Daniel (Janelle Johnson) Iavagnilio, Frank (Dar) Correll and Richard (Peggy) Correll; nine grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Victor Iavagnilio in 1963; her husbands, Anthony Iavagnilio in 2003, Charles Correll in 1972 and Baron Steller in 1992; and a sister Helen Rothrock. A funeral service in her honor will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at 11AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Reverend Rachel Bales- Case will officiate. Burial will follow at Indian Village Cemetery. Family & friends will be received from 1-3 & 5-7 PM on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Yeager Funeral Home. There will also be an hour of visitation from 10-11AM prior to the service on Thursday. Memorial contributions may be directed the Cromwell Library, 120 S Jefferson St, Cromwell, IN 46732 or the North Webster Community Center, 301 N Main St, North Webster, IN 46555.
