Marietta Yoder

Marietta Yoder, 92, of Topeka passed away at Greencroft Healthcare in Goshen, IN on February 22, 2013. She was born December 9, 1920 in Goshen, IN to Melvin J. & Lillie (Hostetler) Yoder. She married Maynard Yoder on Sept. 24, 1949 in Goshen. He preceded her in death in November of 1998.

She is survived by 2 granddaughters, Sabrina (Bob) Penick of Topeka and Wendy (Scott) Griffith of Goshen. Also surviving are 3 great-grandchildren: Madison Penick, Jack and Sydney Griffith; and 2 step-great-grandchildren, Kyle and Korey Penick. She was preceded in death by a son, Tom Yoder, and 2 sisters and 3 brothers.

She graduated from Goshen High School. She was a Beauty Operator in Goshen for 8 years. She then worked with her husband at Yoder Farm Service in Topeka. She was a member of Topeka Mennonite Church, where she was Choir Leader for 20 years.

A funeral service in her honor will be at 10 A.M. Tuesday February 26, 2013 at Topeka Mennonite Church, 206 E. Lake Street, Topeka, IN 46761. Pastor Robert Martz will officiate. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka.

Visitation will be 5-8 P.M. Monday evening at Topeka Mennonite Church.
