Larry B. Gingerich, 62, of Ligonier, IN passed away on November 27, 2012 at his home after a short-term battle with cancer. He was born on May 6, 1950 in Goshen, IN to Benedict and Barbara (Bontrager) Gingerich. He married Paula Swihart on December 11, 1984 in Las Vegas, NV. She survives with a son, Quentin (Hope) Swihart, of Ligonier and a daughter, Vikki (Phil) Feldman, of Kimmell; four grandchildren, Kristen and Shawn Swihart and Anthony and Skylar Feldman, also survive. Mr. Gingerich is survived by five brothers: Clarence (Mary) Gingerich of Shipshewana, IN, Ben (Linda) Gingerich, Jr. of Ligonier, Freeman (Clara) Gingerich of Topeka, IN, Orla (Becky) Gingerich of Topeka, and a twin brother, Perry (Janet) Gingerich of Topeka. A sister, Katie Irene (Ora) Nisley of Topeka, also survives. He was preceded in death by his parents and his Father-In-Law, Norman Biddle. He served his I W Service at St. Joseph Hospital in South Bend, IN from 1969-1971. Mr. Gingerich was formerly employed with Crossroads RV in Topeka. He was a member of the American Legion Post #243. A funeral service in Larry’s honor will be on Saturday, December 1, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Eden Worship Center, 4095 S. 900W. Honeyville, IN. Pastor Harold Gingerich will officiate. Burial will be in Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka. Visitation will be at Yeager Funeral Home on Friday from 2-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the service at the church. Memorial contributions may be given to the family c/o Yeager Funeral Home.
