James Taylor

James Doran Taylor passed away in Ligonier, IN on Thursday, October 11, 2012 at the age of 75. He was born on April 18, 1937 in Noble County, IN to Lee and Cleo (Fausnaugh) Taylor. On August 1, 1960 he married Maureen Shannon; she preceded him in death in March of 1981.

He is survived by four children, Becky Taylor of Ligonier, IN, Tina Hoover of Cromwell, IN, Rocky (Shari) Taylor of Kimmell, IN and Jim (Lisa) Taylor of Ligonier, IN; 10 grandchildren; 19 great- grandchildren; seven siblings, Beverly (Bud) Todd of Albion, Bob Taylor of Wolf Lake, Sharon Young of Kimmell, Joe (Vicki) Taylor of Ligonier, Larry Taylor of Ligonier, Harry (Linda) Taylor of Albion, and Rick (Yvonne) Taylor of Kimmell, IN.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers, Ron & Jerry Taylor.

He served his country honorably in the United States Army and later retired from Kreager Brothers Excavating following many years of service. He was a member of the VFW in Wolf Lake, IN and an avid fan of Kimmell Little League and loved to watch his grandchildren play sports. He also enjoyed going to produce auctions and buying produce and flowers so he could give them to all his friends and family.

A funeral service in James' honor will be held at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 on Monday, October 15, 2012 at 11 AM with Pastor Joey Nelson and Larry Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Cosperville Cemetery in Cosperville, IN.

Friends and family will be received from 2-6 PM on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at Yeager Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Kimmell Little League.
