Kathryn V. Reed

Kathryn V. Reed, 92, of Ligonier, passed away at 12:55 P.M. Friday, October 5, 2012 at Avalon Village. She was born on February 21, 1920 in Noble County to James and Viola (Holden) Patton. She married Robert Reed on July 3 1937 in Albion, IN. He preceded her in death.

She is survived by a daughter, Nancy K. Hooley of Ligonier; 2 Granddaughters, Lisa Gray of Findley, OH and Kimberlee Hooley of Ligonier, IN; and a brother, Russell Patton of Ligonier, IN. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Gingerich, a sister, Elizabeth Juday, and 4 brothers: Sam, Sr., Edward, James and Robert Patton.

Mrs. Reed was employed in several area factories, such as Wirk Garment Factory, Essex Wire and Tower Advertising.

A Funeral Service in Mrs. Reed’s honor will be Monday October 8, 2012 at 10 A.M. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Celebrant Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday October 7, 2012 from 2-5 P.M. at the funeral home.
