Janet L. Durham, 72, of Kendallville, passed away on September 29, 2012 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne, IN. She was born on July 23, 1940 in Jennings County, IN to Hershall and Edna (McCowan) Halsey. She married John Durham on March 15, 1958. He preceded her in death in 2003. She is survived by a son, William Durham, of Ligonier and 3 daughters, Cheryl Durham of Troy, New York, Jackie Durham of Kendallville, IN and Jennifer (Tim) Miller of Fort Wayne, IN. 4 Grandchildren survive: Nathan Durham, Nick Northouse, Timothy Miller, Jr. and Benjamin Miller. Janet is survived by her mother, Edna Long, of Oakwood, Ohio. Also surviving are 2 sisters: Janie (Bob) Craft of Albion, IN and Mary (Troy) Grant of Oakwood, Ohio and 6 brothers: Larry (Sherry) Halsey of Garrett, IN, Willard (Sandy) Halsey of Woodburn, IN, Hershall Leroy Halsey of New Haven, IN, Joe (Ella) Halsey of Butler, IN, Raymond (Tuesday) Halsey of North Webster, IN and Anthony Halsey of Garrett, IN. Janet worked as a Quality Technician for many years at Monsanto and Dana Corporation. Janet enjoyed gardening, raising cocker spaniels and traveling with her family to Gettysburg, PA, Washington DC, Mackinac Island and Cape Cod. A visitation for friends to pay their respects will be from 4- 6 P.M. Tuesday October 2, 2012 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767 Memorial Contributions may be given to the Noble County Humane Shelter.
