Clyde 'Gene' Enslen

Clyde “Gene” Enslen, age 71, of Kimmell, IN passed away on Monday, September 3, 2012 at Parkview Oaks of Columbia City. He was born on July 14, 1941 in Ft. Wayne, IN to Clyde and Nellie (Winebrenner) Enslen. He married Barbara Murphy on January 2, 1960 in Big Lake, IN. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; a son, Terry (Kris) Enslen of Kimmell, IN; a daughter, Tammy (Jim) Collins of Ligonier, IN; three grandchildren also survive, Nicole Green, Dakota Enslen and James Collins III; two great-grandchildren, Ava and Oliver Green; and a sister, Judy (Chuck) Weitbrock of Lowell, IN. Gene was a grain farmer in Kimmell all of his life. He also raised livestock in the past. Gene could often be found at various local coffee shops shooting the bull with other farmers. He lived and breathed farming. A funeral service in Gene’s honor will be 11 AM Saturday, September 8, 2012 at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. Pastor Bob Herman, Chaplain with Parkview Home Health and Hospice, will officiate. Burial will be at Merriam Christian Chapel Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday, September 7, 2012 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM and also one hour prior to the funeral on Saturday. Memorial donations may be made to Parkview Home Health & Hospice, 1270 E State Road 205 Suite 050; Columbia City, IN 46725 or the charity of the donor’s choice.
