James A. Myers

James A. Myers, age 76, of Ligonier passed away on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 12:45 PM at Avalon Village in Ligonier. He was born on September 13, 1935 to Robert Levi and Freeda (Potts) Myers at Left Hand WV. He was a retired farmer and steel worker.

James married Kathy Gordon on February 14, 1986; she preceded him in death in 2009. James is survived by two sons, James A. Myers, Jr. of Goshen and Richard Scott Myers of Millersburg; two daughters, Frances Annette Cain of Letart, WV and Paula Frizsell of Goshen; 7 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and 4 siblings, Sally O'Brien of Ligonier, Darrell Myers of Portland, Me, Benny Myers of Newton, NC and Billy Ray Myers of Cottageville, WV.

James was preceded in death by his wife; an infant son, Forrest A.; his parents, Levi and Freeda Myers; and nine siblings, Madeline Myers of Ligonier, Dixie Blackshire of Ligonier, Viola Smith of WV, Clara Myers of WV, Barbara Nicholes of WV, Virginia Bright of WV, Harry Myers of WV and Keith Myers of MO.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Memorial donations may be directed to the Noble County Humane Society, P.O. Box 471; Kendallville, IN 46755.
