James Alan Cassidy

James Alan Cassidy, age 84, of Cromwell, IN passed away on June 19, 2012 at 11:50AM following a brief illness. He was born on March 23, 1928 to Fred & Maud (Ainsley) in Battle Creek, Michigan. On March 5, 1961 he married Anita Bowen in Ligonier, IN.

Mr. Cassidy is survived by his wife Anita Cassidy of Cromwell,IN; two daughters, Jeanne (Carl) Bailey of Pisgah Forest, NC and Barbara (John) Mazzolini; and two grandchildren, Brittany Jean Mann & Sean James Mullahy all of Illinois. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother John Ray Cassidy.

He graduated from Iowa State with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and later from Michigan State University with an MBA. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had served his country honorably during the Korean War. James later retired as a Systems Analyst from IBM in the 1980’s. He moved to the area in 2007 coming from Downer’s Grove, IL.

A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Public Services will be held at a later date.
