Robert L. Schlarb

Robert L. Schlarb, 63, of Ligonier passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at 6:56 pm at Parkview Hospital Randalia of Fort Wayne. He was born December 28, 1948 to Delbert and Maxine (Darr) Schlarb in South Bend, IN. On September 11, 1980 he married Lucinda Brunner in Millersburg, IN. Robert was an outdoorsman who loved camping. He was a member of Stones Trace Regulators. He was also a Vietnam veteran having served in the army. Bob was a collector who loved to make things. He loved his grandsons and family. He will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Cindy of Ligonier, IN. Also surviving are three children, Charlotte (Scott) Combs of Greenwood, IN, William Shoopman of Ligonier, IN and Jon Schlarb of Goshen, IN; three grandsons, Chasen Shoopman, Chris Barton, and Justin Shoopman. Bob is survived by one sister, Cathy (Bruce) Barwick of Elkhart, IN; two brothers, Terry Weiss of Rochester, IN and David (Rita) Schlarb of Indianapolis, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents. A celebration of life visitation will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012 from 1 to 7 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Licolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Legion.
