Ann Woodworth, age 71, of Topeka, IN passed away Tuesday morning, April 17, 2012 at 6:30 am. She went to be with the Lord following a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on December 4, 1940 to Donald & Carol (Simes) Colby in Dayton, OH. On November 15, 1963 she married Jerry Woodworth. She is survived by, her husband of Topeka; three children, Tony (Eva) Woodworth of Woodruff, IN, Juli Woodworth of Indianapolis, IN, and Carla (Pascual) Hernandez of Carmel, IN; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Megan both at home; two step-grandchildren, JJ Shepherd of Milford and Angela Mosley of Ligonier; one sister, Becky Colby of Wolcottville, IN, and one brother Don Colby of Elkhart, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents. Ann was a faithful member of the Topeka Mennonite Church and the Topeka Lions Club. Ann had worked as a bookkeeper for Sealed Power in LaGrange for over fifteen years. She will always be remembered as loving wife, mother, and grandmother. A memorial service will be held in Ann’s honor on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 12 noon in Topeka Mennonite Church, 206 E Lake ST, Topeka, IN 46571 with Pastor Robert Martz officiating. Cremation will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier with a private family burial to take place at Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka, IN. A visitation will be held at Topeka Mennonite Church on Thursday, April 19, 2012 from 2-7PM. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to IU Health Goshen Center for Cancer Care, Topeka Mennonite Church, or Topeka Lions Club.
