Clarene Reid, 65, of Ligonier, IN passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at her residence. She was born on September 27, 1946 in Goshen, IN to Clair W. and Phyllis A. (Bitner) Archer. On August 1, 1965 in Cromwell, IN she married Paul A. Reid, he survives in Ligonier.

She is also survived by her parents Clair & Phyllis of Cromwell; two daughters, Suzanne “Suzy” Campbell of Ligonier, Regina (Tim) Yagel of Columbia City; a son, Stephen “Steve” (Trisha) Reid of Albion; nine grandchildren, Skylar and Micheal Campbell, Tiffany (Scott) Brown, Kaylin, Jayna and TJ Yagel, Kendall “Goose” Reid, Brodie and Peyton Miller; two great- grandchildren, Owen Fletcher and Evelyn Brown; a brother, Denzel (Mary Ann) Archer of Cromwell; a sister, Teresa Coverstone of Syracuse; and a sister in law, Dixie (Jack Madden) Reid of San Diego, CA. She was preceded in death by her mother in law and father in law, Chet and Irene Reid.

Clarene had owned and operated Reid’s Car Parts with her husband since 1978. She also owned and operated her own beauty salon for over 30 years. Clarene loved to attend her grandchildren’s activities and always put them first.

A funeral service will be held in Clarene’s honor at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767 on Thursday April 12, 2012 at 10 AM with Pastor John Lutton officiating. Burial will follow at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.

A visitation will be held from 2-8 PM on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at the Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association, Noble County Fair Grounds, or Whitley County Fair Grounds.
