Israel "Izzy" Eugene Yoder

Israel “Izzy” Eugene Yoder, age 21, of Ligonier passed away unexpectedly on April 5, 2012 in Haiti as the result of a swimming accident. He was serving on a mission trip. He was born on December 4, 1990 in La Grange, IN to Daniel & Laura (Wickey) Yoder.

He is survived by his parents; three sisters, Naomi Joy Yoder, Abigal Rose Yoder, and Ariana Danielle Yoder all of Ligonier, IN; 1 brother, Caleb Lee Yoder of Ligonier; Grandparents, John & Lydia Mae Yoder of Arcadia, FL, and Cornelius & Lena Wickey of LaGrange, IN . He was preceded in death by a stillborn brother, Little Joe Yoder.

He was a member of both the Church of Hope in Sarasota, FL and Eden Worship Center in Honeyville, IN. Izzy received his diploma from Sarasota High School in 2008. He worked as a carpenter with his father, owner of JDL construction. Israel had an amazing passion for the Lord and lived life without regrets.

A funeral service will be held in Israel’s honor on Sunday, April 15, 2012 at 3:00 PM at Eden Worship Center, 4095 S 900 W Topeka, IN 46571 with Daniel Yoder officiating the service. Burial will follow at Hawpatch Cemetery in Topeka.

A visitation will be held from 3-8 PM on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at Eden Worship Center. There will also be a memorial service held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 6:00 PM in Sarasota, FL at the Church of Hope, 1560 Wendell Kent Road, Sarasota, FL 34240.
