Sharon R. Schlabach

Sharon R. Schlabach, age 63, of Albion passed away on April 5, 2012 at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis, IN following an extended illness. She was born on November 21, 1948 to Raymond & Deloris (Hewitt) Coney in Kendallville, IN. On August 23, 1985 she married Robert Schlabach; he preceded her in death June 2, 2003. She is survived by her companion Leslie Clouse of Albion; four children, Jennie Parsley of Topeka, IN, Joe (Jessica) Fulford of Wawaka, IN, Tracey (Charles) Bordner of Wawaka, IN and Erin Clouse of Columbia City, IN; 8 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Twylia (Duane) Kline of Kendallville and Sonya (Terry) Sanderson of Sturgis, MI; and one brother, Gary (Carol) Coney of Albion. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Sandra Falk. She had worked for Dari Point and Village Video both of Ligonier. Sharon enjoyed fishing, family get togethers, cookouts, her flowers, doing things she wasn’t supposed to, teasing Les and the Walmart clearance rack. She will always be remembered as a wonderful and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. A funeral service will be held in Sharon’s honor on Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at 7PM with Pastor John Lutton officiating at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South; Ligonier, IN 46767. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3-7PM prior to the service. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Vance Thompson Fund.
