Sallie A. (Sweeney) Troyer

Sallie A. (Sweeney) Troyer, age 50, of Topeka, IN passed away on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at her residence after a 4 year courageous battle with melanoma. She was born March 5, 1962 she was born to George & Marcella (Pearson) Sweeney in Fort Wayne, IN. On September 26, 1987 she married the love of her life Ronald Troyer in Topeka, Indiana.

Mrs. Troyer was a lady who enjoyed gardening and loved most outdoor activities. She enjoyed watching sports but particularly loved golfing. During her formative years she worked at Starcraft/Jayco in Topeka and was recently awarded for twenty years of service as a dedicated worker. Her biggest joy was spending time with her two children and her family. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Troyer of Topeka; 2 children, Tanner Troyer of Muncie, IN and Rebecca Troyer of Topeka, IN. Also surviving are six siblings, which include three brothers; James (Linda) Sweeney of Fort Wayne, Joseph Sweeney of Lake James, and Jerry (Joni) of Spencerville, Indiana. Three sisters include; Rose Mary Thomas Freeman of Fort Wayne, Suzanne Hageman of LaOtto, and Elizabeth A. (Richard) Sherman of Howe, Indiana. Mrs. Troyer was preceded in death by both her parents and one brother, John Sweeney.

A funeral service in memory of Sallie will be held Wednesday, April 4, 2012 at the Topeka Baptist Church located 104 North St., Topeka, IN 46571. Friends may call one hour before the 10 am service. Pastors Harold Gingerich and Tamara Gerber will officiate the service. Burial will follow at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Topeka. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday, April 3, 2012; from 3 pm till 8 pm.

Memorial donations in loving memory of Sallie Troyer may be made to the Tanner and Rebecca Troyer Education Fund or the United Methodist Church of Topeka.
