Elaine Mcguire-Wolfe

Elaine McGuire-Wolfe, a well-known lifetime resident of Albion passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 10, 2012, at 5:15 p.m. in Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne. She was born on June 17, 1946, at McCray Hospital in Kendallville to the late Max D. and Mable I. (Turk) McGuire. On Dec. 27, 1983, she married Neal C. Wolfe, he preceded her in death on June 13, 2002. She is survived by her beloved companion of eight years, Marlin McCleary of Albion; her children and their spouses, Tracy and Ron Stanley of Kendallville, Teresa and Troy Airgood of Ligonier, Troy and Rachel Owen of Kimmell, and Tiffany Owen of Albion; eight grandchildren, Nicole, Michelle, Shaun, Timothy, Tad, Tori, Madison, and Claire; and three siblings and their spouses, Lois and Ken Ward of Sodus, MI, Bill and Rachel McGuire of Kendallville, and Betty Pettit of Goshen. She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Kenneth Wayne Owen; her parents; and her very special black lab, Gauge. Elaine was a 1964 graduate of Albion-Jefferson High School. She had worked outside the home for several years but is best known as a homemaker. She was a wonderful mother and the best Grammy ever. Elaine was full of life and enjoyed time with her friends and family to the fullest. She loved having coffee with her special friends every morning at 7:30, playing Euchre, celebrating Halloween, and yelling "What a hotdog" at softball games as she was a very avid fan. She looked forward to attending her grandchildren's sporting events. A funeral service will be held in Elaine's honor on Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Yeager Funeral Home. 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Byron Kaiser & the Rev. James Archambeault officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Albion. Friends may call from 2-7 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13, 2012, at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in care of Yeager Funeral Home.
