Ethel Miller, age 89, of Kimmell, Indiana passed away at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne Thursday, March 1st, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Ethel was born on January 26, 1923 to Hazel Ann Scott and Charles Wesley Carpenter in Fort Wayne, IN. Ethel spent her formative years as a farmer and restaurant cook. In 1940 she married Arthur Harold Miller. In her family life she was known as a lady who loved crafts and romantic movies. She loved to spend time watching game shows on television. She also loved country music and dancing. Most important to her was spending time with her family. Ethel attended the Trinity Assembly of God in Ligonier for thirteen years. She will be missed greatly. Ethel is survived by three daughters; Carolyn Lee (Bill ) Young of New Paris, IN, Sheryl Ann Miller of Elkhart, IN and Kimberly Kay (Gene) Kathary of Ligonier, IN. Also surviving is one brother, Charles Kressley of Fort Wayne. She was blessed with five grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Arthea; her husband; her parents; two sisters, Clara Bowling and Irene Neine and her sister-in-law Joan Kressley of Fort Wayne. A funeral service will be held in remembrance of Ethel with Pastor Corey Kirkham officiating at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767 on Monday, March 5, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. where friends and family may call an hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in Kimmell, IN at Sparta Cemetery following the service. A visitation will also take place Sunday, March 4, 2012 from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Yeager Funeral Home.
