Grover A. Weaver, age 77, of Wawaka, IN passed away unexpectedly Saturday evening February 11, 2012 at his residence. On December 27, 1934 he was born to Frank & Alberta (Francis) Weaver in Noble County, IN. On February 18, 1956 he married Rose E. Targgart at Cosperville Baptist Church in Cosperville, IN.
He is survived by, his wife Rose E. Weaver of Wawaka, IN; two daughters, Kathy (Ken) Gangwer of Ligonier, IN and Lisa (David) Blazek of Avilla, IN; five grandchildren, Mandy Gangwer, Joshua (Kelly) Blazek, Jeremy Blazek, Mathew Gangwer and Brittney Blazek; and two siblings, David (Sara) Weaver of Wolcottville and Karen (Bob) Growcock. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Danielle Blazek; his parents; and one Brother Richard Weaver.
Grover graduated from Wawaka High School in 1954 and went onto serve his country honorably in the United States Army from 1955-58. He retired as owner of Reid’s repair shop in Ligonier after 30 years of service. He was a master handyman and could fix or make anything. He was also an avid fisherman, an IU fan, enjoyed History and was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need.
In keeping with Grover’s wishes no public service or visitation will be held. A cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center in Ligonier, IN.
