John B. Shepherd

John B. Shepherd, age 69, of Cosperville, IN passed away Monday, December 26, 2011 at 3:27 PM at Hickory Creek Nursing Home in Kendallville, IN. He was born on July 27, 1942 to Odis & Ethel (Johnson) Shepherd in Prestonsburg, KY. On March 8, 1996 he married Sandra Anthony Miller, she survives. He retired from Skyline RV in Elkhart and had also owned and operated JB Shepherd Landscaping for several years. John loved to work outdoors and was an avid Nascar & Dale Earnhardt Jr. fan. He was also a member of Sons of the American Legion Post 243 in Ligonier. John is survived by his wife, Sandra Shepherd of Cosperville; four children, Michael (Angela) Shepherd of Port St. Lucie, FL, Regina Tobiassen of West Palm Springs, FL, Corina (Kurt) Minard of Wellington, FL and Delana (Alex) Pratt of Elkhart, IN; 6 step-children; 26 grandchildren; and two brothers, Arnold (Diane) Shepherd of Wauseon, OH and Don M. (Patty) Shepherd of Ligonier. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Riley & Raymond Shepherd. A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 30, 2011 at 12 Noon at Yeager Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Waterloo Memorial Cemetery in Waterloo, IN. A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29, 2011 from 3-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767. Memorial contributions are to the family in care of Yeager Funeral Home.
