Elaine J. Harper

Elaine J. Harper, age 90, of Syracuse, formerly of Cromwell, passed away on December 19, 2011 at 1:20 AM at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. She was born on June 28, 1921 to William and Alta Parken in Dwight, Kansas. On October 18, 1945 she married Don Harper in Denver, CO. He preceded her in death on June 10, 2005.

Mrs. Harper worked at Lyall Electric until she retired. She had attended the Cromwell United Methodist Church, enjoyed reading and was a very talented painter.

She is survived by two children, Sharon Runge of Syracuse and Thad (Phyliss) Harper of Powell, WY; a grandchild and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; one grandson, Matt Harper; a brother and two sisters.

A graveside service will be held in Mrs. Harper’s honor on Friday, December 23, 2011 at 10:30 AM at Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN with Pastor Robert Jarboe officiating.
