Geraldine Louise Gloor, age 77, of Topeka, IN passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 15, 2011 as the result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident. She was born October 13, 1934 to Iris & Florence (Yoder) Fought in Topeka, IN. On May 3, 1952 she married William F. Gloor at the Topeka United Methodist Church. She had worked for the Bag Factory & Homecrest ,both of Goshen, and Sorg in Ligonier. From 1979-2000 she helped care for her grandchildren and for many of those years she was a crossing guard at Topeka Elementary School. She was a member of Topeka United Methodist Church, a talented embroiderer, a dedicated Chicago Cubs fan, and loved to work word puzzles. She is survived by two children, Brenda (Daniel) Pruitt of Topeka; Les (Betty) Gloor of Ligonier; six grandchildren, Lowell Pruitt of West Palm Beach, FL, Tisa (Matt) Slabach of Russiaville, Marcus & Taryn Pruitt of Topeka, Gust (Angelina) of South Milford, Brittany Gloor of Angola; six great- grandchildren; five siblings, Leon Faught of Hermansville, MI , Betty Riedel of Topeka, Pauline (Earl) Truex of New Paris, Shirley (George) Oswald of Goshen, IN, Nancy (Donald) Saylor of New Paris. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and six siblings, Gerald, Donald, Wayne, James and Kenneth Fought, and Irene Adair. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, December 20, 2011 at 10AM at Topeka United Methodist Church, 124 West Pine Street, Topeka, IN 46571with Pastor Diana Seigal officiating. Burial will follow at Eden Cemetery in Topeka. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 19, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Topeka United Methodist Church. Memorial contributions may be directed to Topeka United Methodist Church.
