Wayne F. Janowski

Wayne F. Janowski , age 68, of Topeka, IN passed away on October 15, 2011 at 9:05 PM at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne following an extended illness. He was born on March 28, 1943 to Stanley & Virginia Janowski in Cleveland, OH. On March 7, 1970 he married Rose A. Paine.

He graduated from Grand Valley High School in Orwell, OH in 1961 and went on to serve his country honorably in the United States Army from 1961-69. During the 1970’s he served as a reserve deputy Sheriff. He worked for 40 years in the manufacturing industry and retired from Westview School Corporation as a bus driver. Prior to retirement he was also a small business owner. He enjoyed coaching little league & high school baseball while his boys were growing up.

Mr. Janowski is survived by his wife, Rose Janowski of Topeka, IN; 2 sons, Michael (Doretta) Janowski of Middlebury, IN, Steven (Regina) Janowski of Knox,IN; 1 daughter, Rachelle Galiffo and her family;4 grandchildren, Kyly, Jensen, Jett, & Tanner; 3 sisters, Marlene(Jerry Mikonsky) Koren of Chardon OH, MaryAnne (Jim) Donovan of Hiram, OH, & Jacqeulyn Janowski of Mentor, OH. He was preceded in death by his mother, father, & step-mother, Adeline Janowski.

A private cremation committal will take place at Legacy Cremation & Remembrance Center. A memorial gathering will then be held on Saturday, November 5, 2011 from 2-5PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767.
