Maralena K. Mey

Maralena K. Mey, age 70, of Ligonier passed away September 22, 2011 at her residence. She was born on October 4, 1940 to Charles “Jinx” & Lucy (Cler) Winebrenner in Noble County, IN.

She graduated from Ligonier High School in 1958 and later attended IPFW. She retired from Silgan Plastics after over 40 years of service. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Ligonier and enjoyed spending time at Lake Wawasee.

She is survived by two sons, Charles Mey of Ligonier & Dr. John Mey DDS of Iowa. She was preceded in death by her parents.

A mass of Christian burial will be held in Maralena’s honor at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 300 Ravine Park DR; Ligonier, IN 46767 on Saturday September 24, 2011 at 11 AM with Father Wilson Corzo Officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN.
