Betty J. Fisher

Betty J. Fisher, age 77, of Ligonier passed away on September 8, 2011 at IU Health Goshen Hospital.

Betty was born on February 7, 1934 in Kimmell, IN to Grover & Lula (Haines) West.

Mrs. Fisher retired in 1999 from West Noble School Corporation after 40 years of service. Betty also held an Indiana Real Estate License from 1988-2008. She was an elected member of the Ligonier City Council from 1980-1984. Betty was an avid golfer and enjoyed all sports. She followed national and global events with a passion, however, nothing could compare to her love for her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Frank Cal Fisher of Ligonier; a son, Tony Golden of Atlanta, GA; three grandchildren, Tyler, Michael and Grace; one step-son, Terry Fisher; one step-grandchild, Travis; and two sisters, Audrey Bishop and Imogene Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and one sister.

In fulfilling Betty’s wishes, no public viewing or services will be held.
