Donald R. Addison

Donald R. Addison, age 63, of Wolcottville, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 10:22 PM at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born on May 1, 1948 to John & Idella (Clos) Addison in New Point, Kentucky. On November 21, 1991 he married Cindy Cunnington, she survives.

Mr. Addison worked as a machinist for over 26 years. Most recently he enjoyed transporting members of the Amish community. He enjoyed fishing, watching old westerns, and most importantly spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy of Wolcottville; two daughters, Melissa (Ken) Seals of Gaston, Shena Collins & companion Gary Rasler of Ligonier; three sons, Kristopher (Corenne) Goodyear of Louisville, KY, Bret Goodyear & companion Tia of Ligonier, Shay Addison & companion Nichole Conway of Ligonier; two special daughter in laws, Torie Goodyear and Melissa Goodyear; 20 grandchildren, Nathaniel, Elisabeth, Abigail & Philip Seals, Sean, Sarah & Jonathen Addison, Codey, Emile, Kristine, Autumn &Jordan Goodyear, Savannah, Emma & Zander Collins, Becca, Haley, Draven & Jacey Rasler and Tristan Conley; 1 great-granddaughter, Chloe R. Turner; 8 siblings, James Addison, Lois Hinson, Joseph Addison, Miriam Holloman, Linda Addison, Cindy Harshman, Denise Harless and Karen Addison; along with several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his eldest son, Robert Addison.

There will be a time of visitation held on Saturday, September 10, 2011 from 8-11 AM prior to the funeral service at Stone’s Hill Community Church, 151 W. Stone’s Hill Rd., Ligonier, IN.

A funeral service will be held in Mr. Addison’s honor on Saturday, September 10, 2011 at 11:00 AM at the church with Pastor David Hackney officiating. Burial will take place at 4 PM on Saturday at Forestville Cemetery in Elwood, IN with Pastor Eric Morgan conducting the graveside service.
