Emal Mullins, age 90, of Kimmell, IN passed away Monday, July 11, 2011 at Northridge Village in Albion, IN.
He was born on August 19, 1920 to Harrison & Roxie (Stanley) Mullins in Ramey Flats, VA. On November 21, 1946 he married Bessie J. Vanover in Clintwood, VA.
Mr. Mullins moved to the area in 1962 coming from Virginia. He worked at Sorg Products in Ligonier and retired from Starcraft. He served his country honorably in the United States Army during World War II and he was a member of the American Legion Post 243 in Ligonier and the Wolf Lake VFW.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie; four children, Linda (John) Craft of Kimmell, Bernie (Linda) Mullins of Ligonier, Ray (Jo) Mullins of Ligonier, Marie (Todd) Renner of Ligonier; 13 grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Freeman, Clifford, Benny & Arthur Mullins; and one sister, Elsie Skipper.
There will be a funeral service held in Mr. Mullins' honor on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 11:00 AM at Yeager Funeral Home with Reverend Mel Harrell from the Ligonier Church of Christ officiating. Pallbearers will be Troy Mullins, Brian Craft, Chris Daniels, Randy Knafel, Nick Knafel & Jim Woltman. Honorary pallbearers will be Andy Janes, Dave Ritchie, Troy Slone and Lee Keck. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN. There will be military graveside honors.
There will be a time of visitation on Thursday, July 14, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier.
