Thomas Robert “Bud” Davidsen, age 85, of Cromwell, IN went home to be with his maker on July 6, 2011 at 2:10 AM at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne.
He was born on May 12, 1926 to Thomas Martin &Alvena (Petersen) Davidsen in Kosciusko County. He married Marjory Orcutt on February 2, 1951.
Mr. Davidsen was a lifetime area resident and worked for Essex Wire, Western Rubber, Ligonier Quality Bakery, Walmart Bakery in Goshen and Sprague’s Sercurity. He loved to farm, garden and do yard work. He was a member of the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club for more than 40 years. He was a devoted member of the Richville United Methodist Church for over 50 years where he had served as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday school superintendant.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Marjory, of Cromwell; five sons, Robert (Vanessa) Davidsen of Jackson, MI, Steven (Susan) Davidsen of Indianapolis, James (Mary) Davidsen of Noblesville, Michael Davidsen of Cromwell, Kevin (Christina) Davidsen of Cromwell; nine grandchildren, Christopher, Bradley, Craig, Rachel, Cory, Stephanie, Emma, Nathan, Zachary; two great-grandchildren, Eva and McKenzie; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held in Mr. Davidsen’s honor on Monday, July 11, 2011 at 10AM at Richville United Methodist Church with Pastor Carol Knox and Jean Ness officiating. Burial will be in Sparta Cemetery in Kimmell, IN.
There will be a time of visitation on Sunday, July 10, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN.
Memorial contributions are to Richville United Methodist Church or the Cromwell-Kimmell Lions Club.
