Billy L. Johnson

Billy L. Johnson, age 64, of Ligonier passed away at Avalon Village in Ligonier on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 5:58 AM following an extended illness.

Mr. Johnson was born on November 23, 1946 to Charles E. & Effie (Brown) Johnson in Wolf Lake, IN. He was a lifetime area resident.

Mr. Johnson worked for Starcraft in Goshen for over 25 years prior to retirement. He was a member of the Wawasee Lakeside Chapel, an avid golfer and above all, he loved the Lord.

He is survived by his former wife and best friend, Jeane Pauley of Albion, IN; two sons, Matthew (Shawn) Johnson of Syracuse, IN, Andrew (April) Johnson of Cromwell, IN; grandchildren, Chase, Mandy, Drew, Ian and Van Johnson; three siblings, Lester (Skinny) Bernard of Westville, IN, Charles (Paula) Johnson of Bartlett, TN, and Mary Jane Hare of Fort Myers, FL. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Robert Dean Johnson.

There will be a funeral service held in Mr. Johnson's honor on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 10 AM at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier, IN with Pastor Harlan Steffen and Pastor Troy Diersing officiating. Burial will be in Syracuse Cemetery in Syracuse, IN.

There will be a time of visitation on Friday, March 25, 2011 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home.
