David Wilson Allen

David Wilson Allen, 78, of Indianapolis died Saturday, Feb. 26, 2011, at St. Frances Hospital in Beech Grove.

Mr. Allen had lived in Ligonier prior to moving to Indianapolis in 1996.

He was a member of the Goshen Apostolic Pentecostal Church.
Mr. Allen was born Dec. 30, 1932, in Van Wert, Ohio, to Wilson ‘‘Bill’’ and Martha Geraldine ‘‘Gerry’’ (Black) Allen. He married Ann Franklin on Nov. 30, 1963. She survives in Indianapolis.

Also surviving are a daughter, Lori (Bruce Haase) Wirey of Mooresville; a son, Pastor Kenneth (Beth) Allen of East Prairie, Mo.; two grandchildren; and a brother, Roger (Dottie) Allen of Leesburg.

He was preceded in death by two sons, Robert David Allen and Thomas Ray Allen; his parents; and two brothers, Robert Allen and Richard ‘‘Dick’’ Allen.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Yeager Funeral Home in Ligonier with his son, Pastor Kenneth Allen, and the Rev. Jack DeVault officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier with American Legion Post 253 of Ligonier conducting graveside services.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday prior to the services.
