Amanda Schrock

Amanda Schrock, 90, of Topeka died Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, at Parkview LaGrange Hospital.
Mrs. Schrock was a lifetime Topeka resident.

She was born Sept. 3, 1920, in Topeka to Henry and Emma (Bontrager) Beechy. She married Jacob A. Schrock on Oct. 15, 1940. He died Oct. 18, 2003.

Surviving are her children, Susie (Sam) Schrock of Arthur, Ill., Emma (Norman) Plank of Arcola, Ill., Joni (Sara) Schrock of Madison, and Leanna (Samuel) Herschberger of Topeka; 28 grandchildren; 96 great-grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Daniel (Viola) Beechy of Goshen, Levi (Anna) Beechy of Humansville, Mo., Susie (Jesse) Schlabach of Goshen and Katie (Amos) Miller of Middlebury; her stepsisters, Amanda Christner of Topeka, Ind., and Ida (Kenneth) Christner of Mongo; and a sister-in-law, John (Alberta) Miller of Goshen.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Elmer Yoder; and two sisters, Barbara Yoder and Amelia Yoder.

Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Floyd Fry residence, 4685 W. C.R. 700S, Topeka. Burial will be in Miller Cemetery.

Visitation will be all day Friday at the Samuel and LeAnna Herschberger residence, 6505 S. C.R. 500W, Topeka.
