Josephine D. Wolf

Josephine D. Wolf, age 92, of Ligonier, passed away on January 24, 2011 at 12:45 PM at Avalon Village in Ligonier due to natural causes.

She was born on April 27, 1918 in Noble County to Tony and Fern (Moschel) Kreager. On August 29, 1940 she married Chester H. Wolf. He preceded her in November 10, 1986.

Mrs. Wolf was a lifetime area resident. She worked as a cook at Perry School in Ligonier for many years. She was also a member of Stone’s Hill Comminty Church and a member of the Eastern Star and the The Golden Girls Club.

Survivors include one son, Larry W. (Susie) Wolf of Ligonier; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two siblings, Robert Kreager of Klinger Lake, MI, and Ruth Elijah of Ligonier. She was preceded in death by her husband; one daughter, Judy Sullivan; and five siblings.

A funeral service will be held in her honor on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 10:00 AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Pastor Joey Nelson of Stone’s Hill Community Church and Pastor Mitch Moser officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier. Pallbearers will be Jed Mooris, Bryan Dyar, Jeff House, Erik Leamon, Jordan Short and Taylor Short. Honorary pallbearers will be Todd Oesch and Tom Ritchie.

A viewing will be held on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 from 4-8 PM at Yeager Funeral Home.
