Barbara Sue Wolf Hoover

Barbara Sue Wolf Hoover, 80, of Albion and formerly of Ligonier died Sunday, Jan. 23, 2011, at 4:30 a.m. at Parkview Noble Hospital in Kendallville. She passed away following an extended illness.

She was born April 11, 1930 in Noble County in Sparta Township to Charles L. & Josephine (Needles) Archer. She married Marion M. Wolf, who preceded her in death in 1984, and then Wallie Hoover Jr., who preceded her in death in 1994.

A lifelong area resident, she was a homemaker and also worked as a waitress at M&M Restaurant in North Webster, and as a retail clerk at Fisher Pharmacy in Kendallville.

She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1948, was a member of the Mount Pleasant Lutheran Church of Avilla, Cromwell Lutheran Church in Cromwell, the Order of the Eastern Star for 50-plus years, and the American Legion Auxiliary of Ligonier 243.

Surviving are five children, Eric (Barbara E.) Wolf of LaOtto, Scot (Jana) Wolf of Syracuse, Bret (Sue) Wolf of Warsaw, Brenda (Donald) Patrick of Ligonier, and Brad Wolf of Avon; 12 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister, Louise Smith of Ft. Wayne.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; an infant daughter, Carol; one great-granddaughter, Marissa Marie Squadrito; one brother, F. Wayne Archer; and one sister, Iris Goshorn.

Services will be Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2011, at 10 a.m. at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier with Pastor Phyllis Smoot officiating. Interment will be at Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell, with pallbearers: Andy Wolf, Marty Patrick, Ethan Wolf, Deric Wolf, Devin Wolf, Matt Deeds, Rob Owen, and Chad Owen and honorary pallbearers Roger Owen, Don Patrick, Brad Wolf, Bret Wolf, Scot Wolf, and Eric Wolf.

Calling will be Tuesday, Jan. 25, 2011, from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions are to the Prentiss Chapter 178 of the Order Of The Eastern Star or Parkview Noble Hospice.
