Raymond D. Mullet

Raymond D. Mullet, age 63, of Syracuse, IN and formerly of Goshen, IN passed away December 24, 2010 at 6:15 AM at Miller’s Merry Manor in Syracuse. He passed away of complications resulting from a stroke suffered in October.

Raymond was born September 11, 1947 in Bremen, IN to Daniel J. & Emma (Yoder) Mullet. On November 10, 1976 he married Wanda Chupp. He was a lifelong area resident and retired as a self employed carpenter which had been his trade for over 40 years.

He was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Goshen where over the years he had served as a board member, a Sunday school teacher, a faithful member of the nursing home ministry team, & was a past Sunday school superintendent. He loved to play the mandolin & violin especially bluegrass gospel music.

Survivors include: His wife: Wanda Mullet of Syracuse, IN; 5 Children: Carl R. (Josie) Mullet of Portland, OR; Nora Jean (Travis) Hensley of Warsaw, IN; Amanda Jolene (Josh) Vandevender of Linn, MO; Earl Dean Mullet of Nappanee, IN; Julie Ann (Joshua) Crider of Elkhart, IN; 5 grandchildren: Micah Greggory Hensley, Hannah Elizabeth Dawn Hensley, & Elijah Ray Hensley of Warsaw, IN; Josilynn Kathleen Vandevender, & April Joelle Vandevender of Linn, MO. 5 Sisters: Verba (Lonnie) Hochstetler, Laura (Devon) Hochstetler, Freda (Homer) Miller, Mary (Lisle) Hochstetler, & Carlyn (Owen) Borkholder all of Nappanee, IN. 5 Brothers Glenn (Mary Ellen) Mullet, Arlen Mullet, Lyle (Alma) Mullet, Homer Mullet all of Nappanee, & Dennis Lee (Debbie) Mullet of Richmond, TX. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 infant sister: Fannie Mae Mullet; & 1 brother: Jonas Mullet.

A funeral service will be held in his honor Monday December 27, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church- 63983 County Road 15; Goshen, IN 46526 with Bishop Jack DeVault & Pastor Michael Curton officiating. Friends may call Sunday December 26, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 PM at the church & from 10 AM to noon prior to the funeral service.

Pallbearers will be Joshua Crider, Nathan Mullet, Glen Mullet, Glen Miller, Glen Michael Miller, & Billy Morton. Burial will take place at Violet Cemetery in Goshen. Memorial contributions may be made to the Charity of the donor’s choice.
