Mildred Virginia Rose

Mildred Virginia Rose, age 92, of Wawaka, IN., passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, April 23, 2016, at her home in Wawaka. She was born on May 29, 1923, the daughter of Charles and La Von June (Fulk) Wysong in Los Angeles, CA. On April 23, 1943, she married Raymond F. Rose; he preceded her in death in 1987.

She is survived by her four sons’; Dennis (Sue) Rose, Dee (Betty) Rose, David (Lucinda) “Cindy” Rose, and Edward Rose. 11 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren; and three great-great grandchildren. One brother; Max Wysong, and three sisters; Beverly Sponhauer, Helen Knapp, and Doris Price.

Mildred graduated from Wawaka High School in 1941. She then worked very hard to complete training to become a qualified medical assistant. Mildred enjoyed creating art, writing poetry, and just writing in general. Her time was spent helping and being at church. Mildred loved her family along with her animals.

A Funeral Service will be held in Mildred’s honor on Thursday, April 28, 2016 at 10AM with an hour of visitation prior to the service at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South Ligonier, IN 46767. Larry Baker will officiate. Burial will take place at Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier, IN.

Family and friends will be received from 5-8 PM on Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at the funeral home.
