Jeffrey D. Poyser

Jeffrey D. Poyser, age 60, of Cromwell, IN passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2015 at 4:06 PM at Avalon Village, Ligonier, IN. He was born on October 21, 1954 to Jess D. and Annie Mae (Kuhn) Poyser in LaGrange, Indiana.



He graduated from West Noble High School in 1972 and worked at Tenneco for 19 years. Jeff was a member of 4-H, Sparta Township Fire Department, was an EMT for a number of years, National Campers and Hikers Association, and a lifetime member of the Kentucky Colonels.



Surviving are his father, Jess of Dayton, Ohio; his siblings, John (Lucy) Poyser of Minooka, IL, Anita (Larry) Price of North Webster, Alyce Poyser Evans of Bremen, Jon Mock of Valparaiso, and William Mock of Michigan; sisters-in-law, Dee Poyser of Ohio and Susan Poyser of Logansport; and several nieces and nephews.



He was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae; two brothers, Jerry and Joe.



A funeral service will be held in Jeff’s honor on Thursday, June 11, 2015 at 10 AM at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, IN 46767 with Celebrant Larry Baker officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in North Webster, IN.



There will be a time of visitation on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 from 4-7 PM and one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.



Memorial contributions may be directed to the West Noble Scholarship Fund for Conservation students.
