Treva Rex

March 30, 1906 — January 25, 2011

Treva Opal Rex, age 104, of Ligonier passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at her home of natural causes.

She was a lifetime area resident and a dedicated homemaker. Mrs. Rex graduated from Topeka High School in 1923. She had attended the EUB in Ligonier for several years.

She was born March 30, 1906, in Topeka, Indiana, to Orson O. and Cora Belle (Gibson) Marshall. She married Roy W. Rex on April 19, 1924. He preceded her in death in 1972.

Surviving are a son, James L. (Patricia) Rex of Woodburn, Ind.; two daughters, Betty Jane (Jim) Tuvell of Ligonier and Mary Lou Poyser of Ligonier; four grandchildren, Debbie (Richard) Tuvell-Thies of Zionsville, Ind., Lisa (Mark) Tuvell-Hauguel of Ligonier, Troy (Mindy) Rex of Grabill, Ind., and Todd (Laura) Rex of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Erma Price, Lois Carpenter and Orpha Deter; and a grandson, John Tuvell.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Yeager Funeral Home, 1589 Lincolnway South, Ligonier, with Chaplain Ken Weaver officiating. Burial will be in Oak Park Cemetery in Ligonier.

Calling will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
